By default the launcher should install to the drive where the launcher itself was installed to or at least give you an option to select where to install the game.

If you have multiple locations, right click the on one your D:\ and choose it as Default. Just set this to your D:\ or as required. D:\ was typically allocated as CD/DVD drive as most systems only used one storage drive (C:\).ĭrives are automatically given a letter in sequential order following from C:\ but it is possible to change them in Windows, too. Going back, A:\ was disk and so was B:\ (some systems had 3 & 1/2" as well as 5 & 1/2" drives). C:\ is still in use simply from the older days and it just stuck.

Have you installed anything else from Steam onto that drive? Though hazard a guess I'm guessing no since you can't download this game to D: drive?ĭrive letters are meaningless, they just go in order. Though honestly? I'm suspecting it has something to do with that letter as it normally is the default drive for DVD/CD readers. Any time I installed a HDD it never allowed me to set D: even when I had no DVD/CD reader installed. Originally posted by UwU:My c is SSD, and D is hard drive xd
